Man to Man Defense (The Correct Way To Play Team Defense)

Man to man defense is by far the most used defense used in basketball.  You'll find teams from the youth basketball leagues all the way to the professionals using the man defense.  In this animation I'll teach you some basic rules of the defense and yes, there is more to it than simply picking up a man and guarding him.  Think of man to man as a team defense in which each player guards his/her own man but is also expected to help out his teammates.  The only way to provide help to teammates is to be in the correct position in relation to the basketball.
